Sarah Carlin, Director at Hire Counsel, Talks About Being a Contract Manager.

In this episode of the "City of Contracts" podcast, Ken Adams speaks with Sarah Carlin, Director of Recruiting at Hire Counsel, a national leader in legal staffing, eDiscovery services, and project management. As a member of Hire Counsel’s Specialized Project Attorney team, Sarah places attorneys, contract management professionals, and compliance officers with corporate legal departments, procurement departments, law firms, and governmental agencies. The Specialized Project Attorney team works with these organizations to better manage the process and the deliverables related to administering and managing corporate contracts. Sarah herself is an attorney and served as in-house counsel before joining Hire Counsel and establishing a career in the legal staffing industry. 

Ken and Sarah discuss how Hire Counsel helps companies with their contracts process, and what the work of a contract manager consists of on a daily basis. They discuss the backgrounds that make for a successful contract manager and whether having a law degree makes a difference.

Prior to her current role, Sarah was the Director of Compliance and In-House Counsel for Get In Shape For Women. She previously served as a Trust and Estate Attorney for PYWL PC law firm. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology for Saint Michael's College and her Juris Doctor from New England Law Boston. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
